Thursday, in Sweden.

Well today was thursday, and thats a pretty good day for me. I woke up at 7:52 and had to be to school by 9. I ate a good breakfast of toast, milk with oboy, a chocolate milk powder a little like nesquik, and a glass of tropical juice. I made it to school with 5 minutes to spare. On the last hundred 600 meters I met Gorm, one of the kids in my class and we rode the rest of the way together and I talked to him a little more then I had before. The first thing I have in school on Thursday is klassröd, it is kind of like a question period, we get to find out whats going on in the next week and ask questions if there are any. After that I had English, all the other kids turned an already English poem into a modern version that was still a sonnet. I translated the poem from English to Swedish and I was supposed to read it out loud to the class but we didn't have time. I had a few of the other kids read it and they said it wasn't that bad, I'm not good at swedish but I am making a little proggress. After English we had lunch, we ate in the I V cafeteria when we normal eat in the Idrotts/Media cafeteria because, there was a line for our normal cafeteria and we didn't want to wait. I ate a sort of gulosh thing with rice and also mashed potatos with gravy and swedish meatballs. The lunch works in a buffé sort of way, you can take however much you want of what is there and you can go back for more if you want. After lunch I hung around with my class for a little bit before they went to Swedish, i don't go to the same Swedish as them because at least right now I have no idea whats going on therefore it is pointless for me to be there. I went instead to the library and worked on my wown Swedish book. I got on one of the computers in the library and had a nic little chat with my mom over the internet, it's always good to talk. After I was done with the library I walked back to my locker and put my books away and then went to work out in the school gym. I have these two Latvian kids in my Swedish classes and they were in there working out. When they are in Swedish class they speak Swedish to eachother and English to me but when the teachers aren't around they speak Latvian. Today I got my first experience with the Latvian language. It is a very interesting language and I kept forgetting where they were from, I came up with Lithuana and Slovakia, so they offered to write LATVIA on my arm so I wouldn't keep forgetting. It was a short workout for me but I was glad to hear them speaking their language, that was pretty cool, it's a lot different then Swedish. After the gym I went to the locker room and changed back into my normal clothes, I thought about stopping by MAX and grabbing a hamburger but i decided against it. When I got home no one was around. I was planning on cleaning my room up all day and so that's what I did. I picked up the clothes off my floor, did two loads of wash and changed the sheets on my bed, it's a nice feeling to have a clean room. Hanna came home in the middle of my cleaning job and we said hello to each other, then Ingela came home also. I needed Ingela's help on finding the right sheets to put on my bed so it was lucky for me that she came home when she did. After I was done cleaning my room I started watching an episode of South Park on my computer. When I was in the middle of watching that episode Ingela asked me if I wanted to go to the mall just outside of town, Mariaberg (spelling), I of course said yes. We went by one of Hanna's friends house on the way to drop off something. When we were out at Mariaberg we went to a home decorating store and picked up two stools that Ingela had previously ordered. We then went to the main mall and went to a shoe store. Hanna bought a pair of winter shoes and I just marveled at how much shoes cost, a pair of slippers was 400 krowns, over 60$. A normal pair of shoes were 700-1000 krowns, 110-160$. We stopped in one store for a few seconds before leaving but other then that we really didn't look around the mall. When we were in the shoe store Ingela asked me what kind of kebab I wanted for dinner, I asked which kind was the best, the choices were in a wrap, on bread like a hamburger or with frenchfries in like a salad thing, she said on bread was the best so thats what I got. When we got home Andreas was already there with the kebab and we at immediately. Kebab is delicious. I had it on the bread and it was like a big roll that the cut down the middle and inside was kebab, letuce, tomato, banana peppers, onion, and a sauce that's kind of like ranch but not ranch at all. After dinner me ad Andreas had the project of putting the two stools together, for some reason we had to put them together, weird for me. We did that together and it was kind of fun to put them up. We now have two stools at the little bar thing that separates the kitchen from the dining room, I think I am going to sit at those when I eat breakfast alone. After we had completed that great task we had a little fika with tea and cookies, cookies kind of like Oreo's but not Oreo's although you can get Oreos here. After we had a little fika I watched some TV with Ingela and Andreas, the Swedish version of Survivr called Robinson and then a little bit of another reality show that dealt with helping fueding neighbors get along. While I was watching the shows with them I was also texting Caitlin, Caitlin and I are just friends we are the only two Americans within 100 kilometers and so we hang out a lot she has a boyfriend in Kansas and I am not trying to hit on her or become anything more then friends we're just two Americans hanging out in Sweden, about what will happen tomorrow because Riley is coming to Örebro from Stockholm to just chill and go to our district conference as well. After that I came into my room and started writing on my blog :D. All in all a good day, just another day in Sweden, Thursdays are normally pretty good and this Thursday was no exception.
