Delicious food made by Caitlins host family :D.

Monday! I was pretty tired after staying up all night watching the superbowl and it was really hard to get up but I managed it. I knew that three other guys in my class had stayed up as well so I was almost comforted by knowing they would be pretty out of it too. School was good, just hanging out and going to class like always, PE, computers, math, and Swedish. Their was some good joking about the superbowl and all the bets we made the night before. I ended up not doing anything after school, I just went home and when I went home I went to sleep. I slept for a solid four or five hours and woke up to eat dinner with everybody before going to sleep again. Monday, just a day, nothing very interesting happened and I just enjoyed my bed.
Tuesday, was pretty energized from all the sleep the day before and so after school I was really wanting to go do something, unfortunately all of my classmates were not feeling the same way. One of the problems in going to a sports school is that all of my friends there are always busy with practice and games and so it's hard to get together and hang out. I ended up calling Pauline and she had just gotten off of school like me and we went to take a fika. Fika may be one of my favorite things about Sweden, it's just a relax time, stop what your doing and just go sit down and talk. I was really happy that I got to go and do something after school and it's nice to have Pauline as a friend because she is pretty spontanious like me and so that makes it easy to just go hang out :D. After that I went home and just hung out the rest of the night, I don't think anything epic happened, just hangin out and killing time. I didn't go to innebandy with Andreas though, I just wasn't feeling it. It was a good day though!
Wednesday, I went to my Rotary meeting and for some reason there was a lot of people there. It's good that a lot of people showed up but it was unusual, anyway that was good because I got to talk to a lot of people and that's always good. After the meeting I went back to my school and visited the music class that I would be in right now if I didn't go to the Rotary meetings everyweek. I can still go to them but I miss over half the class, if the meeting gets out exactly at one, and so I only go sometimes when there is enough time left to do something with. That was fun, I always like going to that and it's fun to hang out with my class, I like those kids. I hung out with them in town for a little while and then I went to meet up with Caitlin. Caitlin and I walked around a little in search of some "maltesers", it's a candy that I always see on TV and I hadn't eaten it so I was determined to go and buy some. After I had satisfied my curiosity we caught a bus to Adolfsberg where we now both live. Caitlin moved on Monday to her second host family in Adolfsberg and she now lives about ten minutes away from me walking so that's pretty cool. Anyway we went by bus home and I decided to go and meet her new family, so that's what I did. I spent four of five hours with them and ate dinner with them as well, they are really, really nice and I am happy for Caitlin! Most of my day was with these new people, I think their last name is Skinmäz but I am not totally sure, they are very cool. I then came home and just chilled for a little while with the family before going to sleep, it was a good day all in all.
Thursday, it was a weird day in school and so I didn't go in the morning and then I went in the afternoon because I thought we were going to do some activities but then I figured out it was just a normal day and I don't have any classes in the afternoon on Thursday. That was a waste of time but I did see a bunch of friends and spent as much time talking to them as I possibly could. I then went on a search in town for a big jar of Nutella for my little sister Caisa, it was so hard to find, I actually didn't find it. For some reason here in Örebro they only want to sell small jars of Nutella, I went to 7 different grocery stores and none of them had a big jar. I ended up just getting a little jar but I really wanted to get her a big jar, too bad. Her birthday was on Friday so I had to get her a present and I knew that she loved horses and Nutella and I know she got a lot of presents that had to do with horses so I decided to get her some Nutella ;). I went home and just hung out the rest of the night, watched TV, joked around with my sisters and enjoyed myself at home. Good, calm day.
Friday, a lot happened on Friday actually. First of all basketball practice and school, I wasn't feeling so good so I decided to not practice, that was ok with the coach and I'm glad I didn't because if I had I know I would have felt really, really bad. After practices on Friday we just hang out for a really long time, our practice gets done at 9:20 and I don't think anybody has a class until at least 12:00 so we end up messing around for about an hour or so. We then went to school and ate and I found some other people and just hung out and chilled before I had Swedish. I tried going to Swedish class but I couldn't find it, I looked in all the places that it should have been and talked to some of the other kids and I never could find it. I then decided to go and explore the 5th floor of my school, my school is huge, maybe 10 times the size of my school in Oregon. I had never been on the 5th floor so I went up there and walked around in it, it was different then the rest of the school, just set up differently. That was a fun little experience. I then went home and called Nicklas to figure out when I would go to Kumla to play innebandy with him and his friends. Figured it all out and then took a nap because naps are awesome. I took a bus there and met up with Nicklas, worked out great and had a lot of fun playing innebandy, always fun times. I caught a ride back into Örebro with Emil for my little sister Caisa's birthday party. We went and ate dinner and chilled, sang happy birthday, did all the fun birthday stuff, I gave my jar of Nutella to her and I think she was happy with it :D. After the party I just chilled at home and went to sleep kind of early, early for a Friday night anyway.
Saturday! Saturday was a really good day actually. Woke up about noon, ate breakfast and then Tommy came in with some things for the bathroom upstairs and asked me if I wanted to go look at a house with them. My host mom is a real estate agent and so she sees a lot of properties and so they go look at them and I went with them today. It was a little cottage type house on some land that had some space for horses the cottage was cool but really small. It was fun to go look though at any rate, after we were done there we went into town and I went to the Sape's to see about going cross country skiing with them, unfortunately I couldn't find anybody who had extra skis and so I wasn't able to go. I will go some other time, no big deal. It was a really really nice day and when I got home Gunn and Tommy were headed out on a walk and they asked if I wanted to come with, I said yes. We went and walked around Adolfsberg and just enjoyed the day for about an hour, we saw a guy riding a snowmobile in a big field, that was cool :D. After we got home I took a quick shower and went to get on a bus back to Kumla to where Pauline lives, we had planned a movie night when we got together on Tuesday. I got there and met her dad for the first time, and we went and bought some candy to eat :D. Pauline's parents were going to her uncle's to watch a movie on his trip to Norway and so it was just Pauline, her sister Emelia, and I. We made tacos!! Swedish people love tacos, but who doesn't, and I eat tacos here a lot, good stuff though and it's always delicious. Emelia goes to college for music and so when we took a fika after dinner she sang for us a little, that was really cool and she is a fantastic singer! Paulin surprised me with an apple pie, totally USA, and it was not just any apple pie it was a delicious apple pie, really really good :D. We then watched a movie, Lords of Dogtown, and just chilled out the rest of the evening. Pauline gave me a little book she had made for me that just had some of the fun things I've done here and some of the good memories, it was really thoughtful and sweet. It's one of the things I can have from this trip for the rest of my life and I was really really really happy and greatful for it :D. Tack så mycket Pauline!! I caught the bus home and went to sleep almost as soon as I got here! Good day overall, great way to spend a Saturday!
Sunday, so far I have just woken up and written in my blog, I think I will go see what the Ernestams down the street are doing and hopefully take a little fika with them! Thanks for reading!
