More Life...

Well I am having a little mishap with my camera at the moment, I loaned my real memory card to Theresia to take some pictures that I had taken with them at Christmas. I did this knowing I had a backup card and I would be able to take pictures in the meantime, the backup card doesn't work for some reason, I don't know why. The card is exactly the same as the card I use all the time, but for some reason it doesn't work. That is why I don't have pictures of the past week or so.

Tuesday, I woke up, went to school at 9:30, I've got a great schedule. I went to P.E. and played games and then had my other classes, English and I normally have Swedish but they haven't started that up yet for some reason. After school I went to the school gym and trained for a while and then went home. Gunn was having some people over, a women who I think I have met before and her daughter, for dinner. I had a lot of fun with these people, they live in France but are Swedish and so the daughter could speak Swedish, French and English. She is only six years old and so she kinda mixed up the French and Swedish, it was a lot of fun. I meant to go to innebandy with Andreas but I had a hard time going there and by the time we were done with dinner I would have gotten there with fifteen minutes of playtime left, so I didn't go. Anyway it was a fun day and I enjoyed it all.

Wednesday, I went to basketball practice at 10am, my bus was a little late so I showed up 10 or so minutes late :O. My old basketball coach/contact person is home with his kids for this semester so we now have a new coach for the rest of the year. She is really nice though and I have known her before so it's not a hard transition. After practice I went to the Rotary meeting, the first one of the new year, and ate lunch. There were 4 new members sworn in or whatever it should be called so that was cool. The guy that spoke was quite funny and I'm not totally 100% sure what he was talking about but I know it had to do with a lot of money so that was cool. After the meeting I went on a hunt to find a screen protector for my iPod, I don't want that thing getting scratched up but it was ridiculously hard to find. I actually never found one, I had them order a shipment at one store and so I can get it in a few months. On my journey though I ran into Robin and Oliver and hung out with them for a few hours at Robins house which is right in the center of town, they are some friends and Robin goes to the same program as me. I then went to the gym to work out and then home for dinner. It was a big day because my host mom was on this show "Mästerkock", ("Master Chef") and so we had my brother Emil and his girlfriend over for dinner. It was really nice, she wasn't on this episode but we are sure she will be on it next week! It was a good day all in all and I am so happy I am with this family, they are really good to me!!

Soon an oldie...

Monday, I hadn't seen Severin Sape in days. I needed to meet up and chill with him so when I got up I went to his house. I met him and the rest of the Sape family and Sev decided it would be a good idea to bake a cake, so we baked a cake. A French chocolate cake, it was delicious and surprisingly easy to make. We went to the store and got some ice cream for our cake and that just made it the perfect experience. We played videogames and chilled out all day. Severin's girlfriend came over and I ate dinner with the family, plus Sev's girlfriend and minus Theresia, then the idea up that I should stay over so I said why not. I called Tommy and asked if I could and he said yes and so I stayed the night! Iwatched a movie in Swedish with English subtitles, that was fun. It was a good day of hanging out with good people.

Tuesday, woke up and ate breakfast with the Sape's, then went home. I'll be honest when I say that I'm not sure what I did this day. I am pretty sure that I was just hanging around at home and that must of been what was going on because apparently nothing memorable happened. I know it was a good day and that it gave me rest for the upcoming days!

Wednesday, I got up and went to the train station. I knew that I was going to Västerås and what time I was going as well but I didn't buy a ticket ahead of time and when I got there I just barely in time for the train. I just got on, no ticket, nothing but I was just hoping that I could buy a ticket on the train and that I wouldn't get kicked off or something. Luckily enough for me I was able to buy one. I got to Västerås at 10:00am and met up with Alexa who was waiting for me there. There are 7 exchange students in Västerås so it is pretty easy to go there and get in touch with one of them. The specific reason for my visit was to say goodbye to Stevie Jack, an exchange student from New Zealand. When your from Australia, South Africa, or New Zealand you come to Sweden and then go back in January. Stevie was a good oldie, she came to our language camp and helped us all learn Swedish because her herself is very good at Swedish. Anyway, I met up with Alexa at the train station and we went to Giovanna's, Gio is from Brazil, house and woke her up. We chilled for a while and then woke up Gio's host brother Rasmus, he is a cool Swedish guy, and ate breakfast together. After that we went and took a sauna at Gio's house, they have a sauna in their basement, it's awesome. We then made lunch together and enjoyed some good kid made food. Somewhere in that time Stevie came and we ended up just chilling for a few hours, talking, laughing, so on. We ate a big dinner at Giovanna's house and then went to sauna again. We all then slept at Gio's house. It was a big day of just hanging out and enjoying each others company!

Thursday I woke up at about 11:00 and met everyone else, kind of awake. By the time we got downstairs it was almost lunchtime. Stevie went back to her house to pack some of her stuff up because her flight left that night at 2am. The rest of us, us being Rasmus, Giovanna, Alexa, and I, ate lunch with the family and then went to walk around the town. I was shown where they all went to school and then to the church that is in Västerås, that church was amazing, pictures can't capture how big it was. It was maybe twice the size that the church here in Örebro is and just totally spectacular. After the church we walked into town and just kind of walked around a little bit. We then went to Stevie's house to chill for a while, I think we went over there at a little after 7pm. We ended up staying until the very end, Stevie's host mom made us all dinner and gave us all snacks and such, it was really very nice. We just hung out and played games and enjoyed Stevie's company. Giovanna, Alexa, and another exchange student in Västerås went to the airport with Stevie and Rasmus, Anna, and I walked back to Rasmus and Giovanna's house to sleep. We didn't end up sleeping for to long though, we went to sleep at 6:30am, we were just talking about the US and Sweden and life and everything. It was a good day and I was really sad to see Stevie go but we knew it was going to happen and the same will happen to me in six and a half months!!

Friday, woke up really late, again. Ate lunch with the family and hung out for a few hours, got my stuff together and just chilled out. I knew that I was going to go to Nicklas', my host brother's, concert that night but I didn't know what time it was. I found out that it started at 10:00pm and so I decided it would be good for me to be home at 7. I decided I was going to go to get on the five o' clock train. This of course didn't happen without a dramatic drive to the train station where I then had to wait for fifteen minutes for my train. I got back to my house really early, about 6:30. I then ate and just kind of hung around the house for a while until Tommy said he was ready to go. It has been planned that I was going to go to this for a while, it was Nicklas big gig, he had organized this whole thing and got a band from England to come play and another local band and everything, it was a big deal! I thought that I wouldn't be able to go because you had to be 18 to get into the club but I guess Nicklas got it worked out so I could get in and that was pretty cool. I stayed with my other host brother and his girlfriend, Emil and Mathilda. It was a really fun day, I got to know my host brother a little better and just kind of chill out and relax after the long days in Västerås!

Saturday, I woke up really quite late. I am not sure of the time but when I woke up everyone else woke up as well. We all ate breakfast together, another friend of Emil and Mathilda's stayed over his name was Andreas, and watcheda Swedish made movie together, in Swedish. I felt pretty proud for watching a movie in Swedish, they put the Swedish subtitles on for me so I could follow it a little easier but still, I thought it was pretty cool that I could understand. After we hung out for a few hours Emil and Mathilda brought me back to Örebro, I quickly had a bite to eat and went over to my friend's house, Jesper Forss. He was planning on going to a party with his gymnastics team but we were chillin and he decided it would be a better idea to go take a sauna. We hung out for a few hours and watched funny stuff on the internet, so forth and so on, I ate with his family, the wonderful nice people they are. After we ate we went and sauna'd for a long long time, maybe an hour and a half. We jumped in the snow and did the whole sauna experience thing. I then went home and chilled with my family and ate another dinner!! It was another good day!!

Sunday, Sunday was my chill day, I didn't wanna do anything and I didn't want to go anywhere. I just decided that I wanted to chill. That's exactly what I did, hung around the house and just relaxed, I never even changed into real pants, wonderful day. Nicklas came back at about eight pm and he brought two of the English people that were staying at our house back with him there were seven before but I guess they were all sleeping in other places. Ayway I did get to talk to them for a while and that was pretty cool, I don't know how many legitimate English people I have met but these two were pretty nice. I could tell they were quite tired, it was a long weekend for them. The name of their band is Redtrack and they have played all over the U.K. and in a few countries throughout Europe so they are building up a name for themselves. It was nice to meet those people and when I woke up in the morning they were gone :O.

Monday, woke up at six, too early, woke up at six thirty, to early but I had to get up. I went to school and met my class again, I missed them in the break so it was ok to go back. I found out today that one of my class counselors is going to be home with his baby for the next semester and now we have a sub for him. Also my math teacher his home for the next few months with his kids so I have a new math teacher as well. I had sport health, computer, and math class today and after that I am supposed to have Swedish but that program in the school was not really going today so I just went home and slept for 2 hours. I had talked to Jessica Jackson on facebook and so I knew that we were going to meet up at 3:45. Jessica is from Australia and also an oldie that will be going home on Friday, she lives in a smaller town kind of close to Örebro. I met up with Caitlin and then we met Jessica, we went to Saigon, an asian food place, and chilled for a little bit, ate some asian food. We then found out that Jessica had never been to "Svampen" ("the mushroom") and so we had to take her there. We went to Svampen and looked around, I've gone there a lot of times and I know Caitlin has too. I then took a bus into town and went to the gym, unfortunately the gym was closed so I went home. It has been a good day and I am sad to see Jessica and all the other oldies go. Being around them has made me think about going home and it's made me excited as well for the time I have left!!
