It's been a pretty blah week but that's ok, these things happen.
Monday, slept good all night and got up just on time. I had a fun class on Monday morning, PE, it's a great way to start the morning. After PE it's just math, computers, and Swedish. Then the rest of the day I spent hanging out at home and just relaxing, sleeping, eating you know all the good crature comfort things :D.
Tuesday, I went to school and it was my group's turn to go plan the activity for PE, we did that, my contribution was DJ, I played the music. After PE on Tuesdays I just have a Swedish and English a good day for all. I went to Eva to just visit and pick up my month's money. While I was there I saw the rest of the family and ended up going to Stadium outlet with Severin, Theresia, and Jon and helped them buy some new skiing clothes for their trip to Italy in a few weeks. When we came back into town I met up with Caitlin for a little bit and just chilled at her school before we walked to the bus stop and I went home. I met a friend on the bus so it was cool to talk to him on the way home, it's better to get to talk to somebody instead of just sitting on the bus alone. I then ate dinner with my family and headed out again to play innebandy with Andreas. I always have kinda of a hard time getting there because I can either leave my house an hour and a half early and definately get there on time or I can leave fourty five minutes early and maybe get there on time. I have to change busses and the changing times are really really close so sometimes the bus I am supposed to take is a minute late and then I will get there on time and othertimes it actually comes on time and then I have to wait another half an hour. Innebandy was fun and I just chilled after I came home, went to sleep.
Wednesday. I went to practice and it was really fun, it was little different because we now have a new coach and he pushes us a little harder conditioning wise. I like the new practices though, not necessarily better then the old ones but just different. I then went to my rotary meeting like I always do and had a great lunch. Before I went home I bought myself a month more of phone service and then I just went home. I packed and got ready for my trip to Stockholm the next day. I had planned on visiting my friend Liz in Stockholm for a few weeks and so I just got ready to go on that trip and I chilled out, not a very exciting day I guess. I did watch Sweden's master chef though and that was pretty cool, I enjoy the swedish television shows, they're awesome.

Living life...
I have had a really exciting second half of my week!
Thursday, on this day I wasn't home for almost 24 hours straight. I woke up and left for school around 8, school was good. I just had English and Swedish but that is perfect for me. The newspaper article that Caitlin and I had been interviewed for on Wednesday was in the Thursday paper so in my Swedish class we read the article and made sure we understood it fully. I realized that day how far my Swedish has come, maybe I can't speak perfectly but I can understand quite a bit and I think I can talk about just about anything I want in Swedish, I can live life in Swedish I am just not quite ready to drop the English all together, but I can see that happening in another month or so. School was good. After school I went to the gym to kill some time while I was waiting for Lina to get done with school. Lina and I met up and we went for fika at La Baguette, I hadn't seen Lina for a while so it was cool to meet up and hang out again! We just hung out and talked, did the fika thing right. After Lina and I were done with our fika I went to meet up with Severin and all of his friends in preparation of innebandy natt! Innebandy natt is a tradition that has been going on at Karolinska skolan for a long time I believe. Let me just say that I haven't been to a school function quite like this before. There was a DJ, a DJ, at a sports competition and she kept the party going all night with loud music and good mixes, everybody was dressed up so that was also very cool. I just think sometimes that this is the difference between here and home, the party all the time attitude which I really like! Each class in the whole school got a chance to put together a team or a boys team and a girls team. There were two gyms being played in and two different tournaments going on, girls and boys/co-ed. They played a little different from real innebandy, the girls played with small goals and no goalies and only four on each team. The boys played with five on each team and a goalie and they played with hand ball goals, which are much bigger then innebandy goals. When I went to this thing I figured that it was going to go for two or three hours and I would be home by ten but then I figured out that this tournament went all night, until about 6am Friday. I called my host mom and asked if I could stay a little later then I thought and she said ya of course I could, really nice people :D. I ended up staying the whole night. This thing is supposed to be just Karolinska people but since I know Sev and he is one of the people who helped organize it I got to get in on the V.I.P. list ;) thanks Severin!! It was a really fun night, and Caitlin's class won the boys division and Severin's class won the girls division. I had a really good time hanging out with friends and when the thing was over at 5am I went to Mcdonalds with some good friends of mine from Severin's class, and then they took me home at 6. It was a great day and I spent 22 hours away from home just being in Örebro with friends!!
Friday is a tired blurr.... I did end up getting a few good hours of sleep and I was ok but it just kinda fell into place. I was going to go to the puzzel house thing with my brother Nicklas but that didn't work out because we weren't going to get there in time before it closed, instead I went and played ping pong with my friend Jesper. We chilled and played ping pong for a few hours and then we went and got some food together, it was good chill time. Gunn called me and asked if I wanted to go to a concert, I wasn't totally clear on what kind of a koncert it was but I was totally down with going. Caitlin came with me and it turned out to be the Swedish national symphony and a famous guy named Jalmar (spelling), it was one of the most interesting things I've ever seen in my entire life. Essentially it was just good music but, there was this whole theme thing going on that I didn't totally understand. The show was comedy and performance and each song kinda had its own little introduction, I saw Captain Jack Sparrow in an introduction to a song, I saw a performances by some really impressive singers with the symphony behind them it was really good. One of the singers was American and so they spoke some English in the show but it was mostly Swedish and that was cool. Caitlin and I were able to go because a man in my rotary club, Richard, is a part of organizing the show or something and he got us extra tickets, it was really cool and I am really greatful for it. Tack Richard och Gunn!! After the show Caitlin and I got on a bus into town, I went to meet up with my brother Emil and go bowling with him and some of his friends, I won. I really like having older brothers that treat me like a brother, it's nice of them! I always have fun when I am hanging out with Nicklas or Emil so I hope they continue to invite me places! It was a good night and a good day!
Saturday I had to get up early! 9am to be exact, I had to do this because the previous day, Friday, I promised Jesper when I was hanging out with him that I would go to his gymnastics practice on Saturday morning and I am not a kid to break his promise. I went and I was a little nervous to begin with, I have practiced a lot of sports in my time but I have never done gymnastics or anything like gymnastics really. I got to the practice and met up with my friend Jesper and when I got inside I realized that I have a lot more friends that do gymnastics then I realized. We did some warm ups, it was a dancing warm up, never done that before. We then just kind of jumped right into it. All the other kids could do gymnastics really very well and I was completely impressed by what some of these kids were doing. Some had done gymnastics since they were little and quite of few had just been doing it for two or three years but wow they seemed really good to me. Obviously I couldn't do any of the things they were doing but no one seemed to judge me or make fun of me because I couldn't do even the basics of gymnastics, that was really cool of them. We practiced on the trampaline and such and there is an even that they do with the mini trampoline and a run up and then you jump and do a front flip off of it. the other kids were doing spins and twists with there front flips but I was just going for a landing of the frontflip. I tried three or four times and I landed it on my feet standing up! I guess the first time you do something like that and land on your feet you get to ring a bell! I rang that bell with gusto, it was really cool. I mean I like to flip around and stuff and I thought it was really really fun. I am glad that I got invited to go and that I went!! After that Jesper and I went and walked around the big market in town, like really walked around it and looked at everything. It becomes one of those things for the kids here to not go to because they have gone to it every other year of their lives, I am glad that I can be a part of bringing my friends into their own town and culture. It was fun walking around it with him because I could ask questions and stuff haha way better then walking around by myself! He bought some cool posters and I bought some more brända mandlar (burned almonds), delicious carmalized almond things. I then rode the bus home and hung out for a few hours/nap before going to Latorp to see some friends and watch a movie! I had some trouble getting there, I missed the bus to get there but luckily I have some really nice host parents and my pappa, Tommy, drove me there. Latorp is a little village about 15 kilometers from Örebro, Lina and Frida live in Latorp, I went to see them and hang out. Some other friends were there too, Calle, Lowe, and Amanda! We watched a movie and hung out for three or four hours and then I took a bus back to Örebro. It took me about an hour to get from Latorp to Adolfsberg and when I got back to Aldofsberg I went to see another friend who lives close to me. He and I played videogames and just chilled for about an hour before I went home. Saturday was a fun filled day and I did a lot :D.
Sunday, I slept really late today, I woke up and made myself lunch/breakfast and hung out a little bit before starting this blog. I am watchig handball with my family and Sweden has just been put out of the world championship :( but they did come in fourth place so that isn't completely horrible. I think it's interesting, I just saw them interview a player from Denmark, the reporter asked him questions in Swedish and he responded in Danish and they didn't put subtitles on because I guess the Swedes understand Danish. Interesting stuff! Today so far is a good day as well!
Good weekend, and week!!
