The Darkness

I just wanted to write a little on how dark it is getting here in Sweden. I have never experienced this before. Here is a picture of the sun going down, at 3:15pm. It's weird how dark it is. Its really dark by four and completely dark by 4:20. It is crazy but I am enjoying it because I have never experienced it before, and it's only getting darker. I think the sun rises about 8am but I am not totally sure. It is dark here in Sweden for the next few months anyway!

Break time :D Höstluv

Well I have been on break this week and it really doesn't seem like I have been doing much but hey, I try. On Tuesday I basically just explored a little more of the countryside of Örebro. I was invited by Severin and Anders, Severin's friend and my friend too, to come play videogames with them. I don't play that many videogames at home but I think it's more popular here to play these kinds of games. It isn't geeky or anything like that, haha. So I woke up late on Tuesday morning and took a shower and got ready for the day. Severin called me and told me when to meet him at the bus stop and so I showed up a little early and went to McDonald's and had a blueberry pie, mmmm. They don't have blueberry pies at McDonald's in the US or at least I don't think they do and let me tell you, blueberry pies from McDonald's are delicious. It was raining a little so I stood outside and ate it and took in the fresh Swedish air, ahh, delicious air. I met up with Sev at the bus stop and we waited about a half an hour for the bus to come. We were going to Anders' hous and Anders lives about two swedish miles, 20 kilometers, from Örebro in a village called Sköllersta, pronounced co-le-shta. It is a pretty nice little town I think and it felt kinda like Lakeview, a lot smaller then Lakeview but it was kinda in the country. It was Severin, Anders, Marcus, and me. We played some guitar hero and then went to get dinner at the pizza place in Sköllersta, Sköllersta has two stores, a pizza place and a small grocery store. I had Kebab pizza, delicious and we ate together at Anders house. After the food We played a little Counter Strike and Halflife. Two very good video games that are fun when you play together. We played for the whole day and I took the last bus home at 11ish, I got home a little after midnight and went to bed, it was a good day.

Wednesday, I literally did nothing. I slept all day and watched like 4 movies. I went to meet a friend uptown but he got caught up in babysitting his cousins thing so we never actually met up. I just felt really lazy on Wednesday so I just chilled, it was a good chill day though, nothing to complain about nothing really to say about it though either.

Thursday I decided I needed to get outside and do something cause I would have exploded from not moving, I had restless leg syndrome, those things wanted to move. I went go geocaching, for those of you who don't know what geocaching is, it is a kind of scavenger hunt thing that is all over the world. You get GPS coordinates to where a little box is and you can go find it and sign the log, you can check it out on www . geocaching . com, remove the spaces. It was a good idea because I got outside but, the geocaching did not like me. I spent about three hours going after two different caches and didn't find anything. I fell in a hole, I soaked my left shoe, I stepped in cow poop, I stained one of my pairs of pants, and looked really stupid in front of a very hot girl. It was a discouraging geocaching day that kinda sucked, it was weird being that unlucky for that long, crazy. Anyway though it got me outside and it wasn't that bad of a day weather wise, really windy. I went home and chilled for a while until Ingela came home, when Ingela came home I felt motivated to go outside again. I went uptown and spent a giftcard that I had recieved from Hanna for my birthday, I bought a couple of headbands to use when I play basketball, my hair is getting long, and some thin gloves to use as another layer. It was nice at night too, not to cold and a pretty clear night. I came home and hung out with Ingela and Andreas for a little while, Hanna is at a church camp thing, before going to a birthday party with Severin and Theresia. It was Henrik's birthday! Henrik is a guy I met when I was with the Sape's at the horse show thing in August. He turned 20 and I got invited to come celebrate with everyone. It turned out to be a family thing plus me and the Sape kids haha, it was fun though, I had a good time and I enjoyed meeting everyone and getting to know them all. I ate some elk that was shot on their land. It was delicious food and I really enjoyed it all, it was a good night.

Today, I have just woken up and everything but I did recieve a box from my mom :D. It is always nice to get a box from home, it just feels nice to know that somebody cares about you. The box contained some candy and a few newspaper articles as well as some goldfish for Caitlin, mom knew she was craving goldfish, facebook. I am going to meet up with Issi for a little bit today and then go to a movie with Sev and a couple other guys! It has started off well so I hope the day continues as well as it began!!!

Friskis och Svettis!

There are no pictures here of Friskis och Svettis. Friskis och Svettis is a gym. They just opened their second location in Örebro and luckily for me it is right down the street. Since this is there opening week they are having a free week for people to come down and check it out. I usually go to the gym at my school but since it is a break week this week the gym at my school isn't open. I decided to check out Friskis och Svettis and work out a little. That's what I did, went to Friskis och Svettis and worked out for a little over an hour. That's all I did today as well. I am taking this opportunity of a break to just chill out and relax a little, a little being all day every day. It has been a nice day, just hangin out and exercising. Dinner time was great, we had pancakes and soup. Pancakes and soup is actually really common here to have for dinner and I love it. Swedish style pancakes aren't like american pancakes, they're more like crepés but they're not crepés either. They are simply delicious. I want to bring the soup and pancake night back to the US with me, normally it's on Thursday but we did it on Monday this week, deliciousness. After dinner Hanna left for a basketball game at the Idrottshuset that was the proffesional team here in Örebro playing some other town. Luckily enough for me they showed it on TV so I saw it too. Örebro lost unfortunately but it was stil cool seeing a TV program that was being filmed live just a kilometer or so away. All in all it was a good day and I got just relax and work out. In other words, great day!!

Birthdays all the time!

Today was a good day. I am going to a lot of birthdays, it seems like everyone that Eva knows is having a birthday right now, I am totally fine that birthdays are a lot of fun! Today we celebrated Theresia's, Eva's daughter's, twentieth birthday. I was supposed to go to with Ingela and Andreas out to Ingela's mom's summer house but those plans got cancelled, so before the birthday party I didn't really do anything. I got to the birthday party a little early so I helped prep everything. There were quite a few people that came and I knew almost all of them so that felt pretty good. We had a delicious three course meal. A few of the other kids there were going to a Halloween party after the dinner so they dressed up. It was Halloween today but I didn't really do anything for it at all, it's ok I don't need to celebrate Halloween anyway. It was a good day, not a lot happened really but that's fine, I just felt lazy.
