Well I am thinking about coming home, it's still a ways off but it's gonna happen so I might as well think about it a little. It's going to be weird, I just know it because I will have changed a little from what everybody remembers, I don't feel like I am a totally different person now, I'm just more experienced. Thinking about coming home and then going to school one more year and then moving for college is a big thought, I just see my life going, I hope it goes the way I want it to.
Friday, my Fridays are generally good. This Friday was no exception, I went to basketball practice in the morning with all my friends and then we went and ate lunch together. I then had Swedish class and finally I had leadership class and then I went home. I went home directly and then kinda just chilled, I knew that I was going to go to Kumla to play innebandy with my host brother Nicklas and so I just hung out until he called me. Caitlin called me and wanted to come too but we unfortunately didn't have time to go and pick her up so she wasn't able to come. I went and played with them and then I caught a ride back to Örebro with one of Nicklas friends. I then went to go and hang out with Caitlin for a little bit, I met her at her house and then we went to feed the ducks. We had this idea, I don't know who came up with it or why but we had a little fixation to feed the ducks. Caitlin got some old bread from her house and then I bought some cheap stuff from the store and we fed the ducks. There are a surprising amount of ducks around here in the winter. The ducks were a little timid but the got kind of close to us. After the ducks we went to see Sev for a little bit. We hung out with Sev at his for a little bit and then we went back to my house and watched a movie. It was a good Friday, I felt good after feeding the ducks.
Saturday, Caitlin and I woke up pretty early, I slept on the couch, ten is pretty early on a weekend. We chilled and watched TV with my sisters for a few hours and then Caitlin went home. As soon as Caitlin went home I went to sleep, I wanted to go see my friend practice gymnastics with my little sister Ronja, her boyfriend is on the same team as my friend, but I was just to tired. I slept for a few hours and then I woke up and ate some good food. After the good food I took a shower and got ready to go meet some friends. I met a couple friends in town and then we went over to one of my friends sisters house and we watched a movie! I came home pretty late because I was having fun, it was a good night. I really enjoy just hangin out with a couple of friends, it's good.
Sunday, I woke up early and went over to Caitlins house to make breakfast. I was excited about this breakfast because Caitlin had been talking about this blueberry soup stuff and saying how good it was. We ate blueberry soup for breakfast, it was delicious. We talked with my brother this whole time and that was kind of fun, it was like making breakfast with Ben in the room. I enjoyed the blueberry soup a lot, and I will definately be going back for more sometime. We then decided that we would go into town and eat at Jensens Böfhus, a place that we had eaten at before and enjoyed quite a bit, and it's really cheap. We went and ate together and then we got ice cream and ate that and just chilled for a while, it's always good to chill in a restaurant. After that I have no idea what we did for two hours, we wandered and looked at stores and stuff I guess, I'm not 100%. We did end up in a grocery store though and there we found really cheap bread, we bought it with some coins we had in our pockets and then we went to feed the ducks again!! It was really fun feeding the ducks the first time and so we decided to do it again. This time the ducks were hungry and they must have known we were coming because when we showed up to same place as last time they all started coming toward us as if they already knew we would feed them. We did feed them and this time it was really, really intense. If you are scared of birds don't imagine this but, I am talking ducks everywhere, everywhere. There were ducks in front of us, behind us, on both sides of us, it was crazy. I tried to feed one of the ducks by hand and I must have done it wrong because I got a little beak to the finger. Do ducks have teeth? It didn't feel like they do have teeth but it was definately an exciting experience. We then went back to Caitlins house and then I quickly headed back to my house, it was sunday and I was really tired. I went to sleep pretty early, 10pm I think. It was a good day for me, I like waking up and going places and then being gone for a while doing random stuff, it's fun.
Monday, I got out of bed around 2pm. I don't know what happened, it must have been developing during the weekend but for some reason I was totally done with life, like I couldn't do anything, I was really really tired. I woke up and ate and then I went back to sleep for a few hours, woke up and ate dinner with the family and then went back to bed a few hours later. I was awake for about 3 hours all of Monday. I guess you can call that a good day :D
Tuesday, I wanted to go to school, I just couldn't though. I tried to wake up a few times but it wasn't going. I was woken up a little past 1:30pm and then I ate and chilled with my sisters for an hour or two and then went back to sleep again. Dinner time I got up for the food. I chilled with the family for a while and then went back to sleep at a little past 9pm. I was up for maybe 5 hours on Tuesday. I don't know what the deal was but I wasn't functioning those two days. The sleep was good for me though.
Wednesday, today, I finally got the drive to get out of bed and go to basketball practice. I went but I still don't feel quite up to practice so I just chilled out. We got a new coach, for the rest of the year I guess, and he is really cool. His name is Andrew and he is an American, from the beginning. He is married to a Swedish woman and I think he has a child as well, he also plays on the pro team here in Örebro. He's from San Diego so I am pretty excited to have a fellow American, West Coast resident, around the courts. He can speak Swedish and understand everything but he preffers to coach in English so that is good/bad for me, I don't know how to feel about it, it's ok for me but it's better if I hear Swedish all times. I then went to my club's meeting for lunch and enjoyed that. When I was there a very nice man, Goran, invited me to go to the hockey game that night and I of course said yes, I love going to the hockey games and he is a really cool guy. Then right after the meeting I went and met up with Caitlin and a reporter and photographer. We walked around this little market thing that is going on in town, like a farmers market kind of, and talked about the US and Sweden. The man who was interviewing us name is Anders and he is one of Andreas' friends and so that's how he found out about me and decided to do an article on us :D. We walked around the market and he bought Caitlin and I some traditional Swedish candy and a Strömming burger. I did already eat Surströmming but that is the "rotted" version of Strömming. This was actually really delicious and I think Caitlin and I enjoyed it quite a bit. It was fun to meet the man and I enjoy being in the paper, it's fun :D. I then went home and looked up ticket prices to Kiruna, I am going there to see an ice hotel with Rotary and so I have to buy tickets now, it's in early April and Kiruna is really, really far north. Goran picked me up at around six and we went to the arena. Goran works with the hockey team writing down rules or something, I am not totally clear on what he does but he works there. Him working there kind of meant that we had a little backstage pass and he took me around and showed me a lot of places that I wouldn't be able to go to otherwise, that's always fun. We saw the locker room and I stood right next to the players when they were walking out, with skates and pads on those guys are huge. I had fun watching the game, it was a good game and Örebro was a point ahead most of the game until the last five minutes when the opposition score two quick points and that put us down by one. We didn't have time to make it up so we lost, there was a questionable call earlier where they stole a goal from Örebro so I know that will be talked about tomorrow. It was fun to ask Goran questions about stuff, it's good to have someone who works there with you.
Today was a good day!!
Good week I would say!!
