Well I seem to be having a lot of nothing days...

Couldn't see anything this morning!!

Today, I went to basketball practice in the morning and that was a lot of fun, basketball practice is always fun! After practice I went to the Rotary lunch and that was good as well, I always speak to a lot of people and today I met a few very nice people that speaking about the merging of their two companies. I always speak Swedish at the Rotary meetings as well and that's very nice, no tough Swedish just basic but still, I need the practice. I then went to the school gym and worked out for a little bit, saw some kids I know, that was good. After the gym I just came home and cleaned my room up. I also learned how to tie a tie again, I've learned a few times and I always forget, this time I am going to remember!

Tuesday, November 17th

Christmas is coming, a street in Örebro!

Interesting photo, this is Theresia Sape!

Well, I slept 16 hours last night. I woke up, got something to eat and then headed into town. I met Severin and I went to play videogames with him for a little while before I had to go get interviewed. I enjoyed playing videogames with a friend, that was a lot of fun, just chillin and playin games, that's fun anywhere. I got interviewed by a 15 year old girl doing a practical study at the Örebro newspaper, each 8th and 9th grader has to do two weeks of practical studies. This means that they go to a real place of work and kind of just follow somebody around and watch what they do, sometimes they get projects and this girl's project is to write a story on me. I got asked a bunch of questions and then she took a picture of me :D. I will be in the paper in a few weeks, so I will try and take a picture of that. After that, I went uptown to meet Lina for a fika. We fika'd and then I walked her to her bus. Lina is chill and I like hanging out with her, maybe I should start hanging with her a little more haha. After that I came home and ate pizza with Andreas and Hanna, Ingela is out of town and so sometimes Andreas doesn't find the drive to cook. The pizza was good, I have no idea what kind it was exactly but they bought this special sauce stuff and that was delicious! After dinner Andreas and I went to innebandy, there were a lot of people at innebandy today, 13 I think, that is more then I have ever played with before. Good times and actually pretty intense still, I get a surprisingly good work out playing with those guys! I am going to sleep good tonight even though I slept so much last night, good day!

Monday, måndag.

Monday hurts, doesn't matter what your country your in, Monday is a rough day. I have to start school at eight on Monday's and that isn't so bad at all, I am happy that eight o clock is now an early class! That being said, this morning at about seven thirty, when I need to leave for school, it was pouring rain. I have to ride my bike to school and it's not so fun to ride in the rain. It was not at all a huge deal, I'm just trying to say how hard it is to wake up and then a half hour later be pushed into the rain, it's rough. I had Träningslara today and, well, we danced. We had a kind of P.E. day and that was dancing today, unfortunately there were a lot more guys then girls. Yes, that meant that today I danced with a lot of dudes, haha, it was kinda fun to do a little dancing in school though, can't lie. After that I had datorkunskap and that is just a computer class, and then math, I teach myself in math so it is pretty fun for me actually. I then had Swedish, went to the gyme and worked out a little and then went to the post office to mail my box home. It was a little to heavy so I had to take some stuff out causing there to be space in the box. I really hope that everything gets state side ok and not broken! I then rode my bike home and luckily it wasn't raining at that time! I then slept/watched TV for the rest of the day, my family was gone at a meeting checking out the different Gymnasium's for Hanna. Andreas came home and then we made an omlette together and I stayed up to greet Hanna and Ingela when they came home. I am now sitting in bed at 9:40 and I'm going to bed now, it feels like a good idea to get some good sleep tonight!

I really need to continue blogging more frequently, I am sorry to you my readers who check daily and don't see a blog post. I decided I didn't like the video blogging, it was much to hard and so I will not continue doing that, from now on I will simply keep on writing :D.
Ok well, lets get started. Thursday, Thursday was a good day, just chillin out for a while and oh ya, got geared up for winter. It started up with missing school, I was just so tired and I don't even know what happened and so I basically slept through the day, I got up late and went to school but by the time I got there all my classes were over or in progress so I just went to do something I've been trying to do all week. I went to go buy a winter jacket, I really need one. That's something else, the darn snow is just killing me. We get just as much snow in Lakeview but I don't have to ride my bike in it, it really isn't fun to ride your bike in the snow, you fall off a lot. I went to the Stadium Outlet store which is just outside of town, that was an adventure in itself. I got directions from google online but they showed me a really weird way, I ended up getting lost. In my lostness I went about a kilometer past the store. I had only been to that place once before and when I went there I rode in a car with Ingela and Andreas, it's a lot different riding in the car from riding your bike. I went a kilometer past and then to get back I went on the road, on the road where there were semi's and lots of cars, scary thing. I finally stopped to check out my directions and I really had no idea, luckily though I looked around and the store was right there in the little place I had stopped :D success is sweet. I bought myself a winter jacket and some winter boots, the winter boots aren't very stylish but they will do the job for this winter! I really like the jacket though and I can use it for skiing and snowboarding, I am guessing I will have it for the next few years as well! After I bought that stuff and made my way back into town, the easy way, I met up with Caitlin and we hung out for a little bit before we toured the government building. We had made this date a while ago and I was really excited to go see this building! I actually didn't even know where it was but it turns out it is right in the town square and I see it all the time. We got the tour from Inger, the wife of Caitlin's Rotary President and a really nice lady as well. It was really cool to see it and I am happy that she showed it to us! I then went home and chilled out.
Friday, was also a good day, a weird day for school. I woke up at seven to get to my training at eight but it turns out the training wasn't where I thought it would be and that I was supposed to go to my school and do weight training. The morning started off weird, I enjoy working with weights though and so I had a good time. I then had 3 hours off between classes, a really, really long lunchbreak. I normally go home during this time but due to the snow and the fact that I was at the school instead of the Idrottshuset made me decide to stay at school. I then had Swedish and a little later I had sports leadership, a good day all in all. I then went home and chilled a little befor going to Caitlin's new house to celebrate her birthday once again. Andreas and I went because Hanna was busy and Ingela was out of town. Anita, Caitlin's host mom, moved to a new house and so Caitlin has a new house now and I really liked it, it is right below the mushroom so it has a great view of the mushroom. It was a nice little birthday party and I am excited for Caitlin, I think she likes this new house of hers!
Saturday, I literally did nothing on Saturday, I sat at home all day and then finally at about two I left to go do something important. I went to mail a box and then to buy the matching snow pants to my jacket, but I didn't quite get that far. I went to the post office place and I was going to just pack the box there and send it but then when I got there I was overwhelmed and I though if I just packed the box there that it would not be so good and that something in it might break before it got home. I am putting a box together to send home to my mom and brother! I ended up just buying the box to send the things in and I also bought the stamps. I met up with Caitlin and Elin while they were having fika, I kind of just crashed their fika and hung out with them for about and hour, we hen left the coffee shop. Elin was meeting another friend and I was going to look around for snow pants. We then figured out that everything closes at four in the afternoon on Saturdays and I when I say everything I mean everything, besides grocery stores. Me and Caitlin walked around a little bit and then I got back on my bike and went home. We had Berit, Ingela's mother, over for dinner and ate some delicious bacon wrapped chicken, mmmm. We played some cards together and had a little fika as well! It was a great day and before I went to bed I packed my box up so I can put it in the mail on Monday, I just hope it is under two kilos because it has to be under two kilos for me to send it cheap!
Sunday, today has been a good day as well. I woke up at about 11, Caitlin called me and told me that one of the exchange students from another town was stopping in Örebro for a half an hour coming home from Stockholm. I went to sleep for another ten minutes and took a shower and ate breakfast and then by the time I got uptown I had missed our exchange student friend. I feel lame now because I should have just gotten up and gone, not bothered with the other stuff, I'm a kid, I can do that now so I need to take advantage of it. I called my friend up and said sorry that I didn't get to see her today, I will see her at the end of this month though, Rotary is having a get together. After I was in town I met up with Caitlin and we went shopping she returned some shoes and got some new winter boots. We then went to the Stadium outlet store and I bought the matching pants to my jacket! My mom said she would buy me the snow pants for christmas and I am really happy now, I don't think I've ever owned a real snowboarding jacket before and now I own a real snowboarding jackets and matching pants, can't wait to use these things! We had to walk to the outlet store this time because Caitlin isn't using a bike anymore, she is walking everywhere, we had the time though and walking was a nice change for me. After we got back in town we waited for Theresia, Eva's daughter, to pick us up and take us with her to this exhibition thing for interior design and cooking. Jon and Theresia came to pick us up and we went out there, I had helped Eva move things for this so that she could set up her rooms and now it was cool to see the whole thing in action. We walked around a lot and I met a lot of good people, it is an advantage to be different, some people don't care but some people are really friendly just because I am an American. Today is fathers day in Sweden and so I bought Andreas a sausage, a nice sausage, for this big day! I think that it's interesting that fathers day is on a different day depending on what country your in, I didn't know that. I helped set everything up and I helped take everything down too :D! I had to leave a little bit early though so I could meet up with my family and walk around in a big park filled with candles, it was a special ljus night, for fathers day, ljus means light. It was pretty cool. After we walked around for a while we all went back to Andreas' parent's house and we had a delicious fika. Mmm, I love the fika culture, it's great. I enjoyed hanging out with the family and we talked about Oregon a little, I talk a little more Swedish now and that is really a good thing, I know I'm not speaking well but I think they understand me! After we came home I started writing in this blog and now I am going to go to bed! I will try and write in my blog more, everyday!
Tack så mycket!
