My Sweet Sixteen in Sverige!

Well, what can I say about the day? There is really so much to say I don't know where to start so lets go in chronological order! It all began at 6:30am, my eyes were tired, I had just woken up to the sound of singing, the Swedish birthday song which doesn't even say happy birthday, I don't think! It was great. Haha I think it's a Swedish tradition to sing for the person whom is having their birthday, to sing for them loud and early in the morning! I knew it was coming and it was just as exciting as I had expected :D. They came into my room with food and presents! I had a big box from America and I had two gifts from the Ernestams to open, the opening is the best part! I'm only going to comment on two of the gifts I got, because everyone was so kind and therefor I got many. One was a blanket my mom had made for me, a big blanket that is my size so I can actually use it and enjoy it! The other is an innebandy stick the Ernestams got me, they realize I enjoy playing innebandy and now i am practicing with a team as well so they got me a stick, really nice of them. After I got woken up we all had breakfast together and then I went to a gymnasium that isn't mine, Karolinska, to get tickets for a dance the next day. I was told by some of my friends I had to be there at eight to get tickets, I got there at ten till eight and there was a huge line of kids and no one selling tickets. Luckily enough for me I saw some of my friends in the very front of the line and they told me what was going on, the people selling the tickets just weren't there yet and there would be enough tickets for everyone in the line. Knowing this I continued to sit in the front of the line with them, and continued to sit at the front of the line with them, and continued to sit at the front of the line with them. Finally at 9:15 someone came who was selling tickets then, it got crazy. Everyone was going to get a ticket, but still people gotta push, everyone behind was pushing up to the front and it was crazy. I got my ticket and got out of there. I made it home by 9:45 and then had to leave 5 minutes later to get to basketball practice at 10. Afterbasketball practice I went to the Rotary meeting like normal and they sang me happy birthday, in Swedish, the whole club, it was awesome :D. I went to school for an art class and then went to chill with Caitlin for a little bit. We went to the top of the Mushroom, a building a little like a small Seattle space needle. It was a totally clear day and so that was really, really cool. We went to my house to have dinner and when we showed up they had all the nice dishes and stuff out, fun! Andreas parents came and wished me happy birthday and had dinner with us! Then, a bunch of people just started showing up, haha, kids mostly, just a bunch of my friends here. Ingela had apparently invited them all over using facebook! Anyway, they all came over and we basically just chilled, it was a good party. We had birthday cake that Andreas "made" (bought from a store) and that was really delicious. Eva, my Rotary counselor, came to wish me a happy birthday also! Part of Swedish tradition is that when you get your presents you open them right then and there, it's cool, I like it. The neighbors even came over to wish me a happy birthday and give me a little gift! Nice people. All in all it was a great day. We just chilled, ate cake and talked, the only thing I could think of wanting to do on that day. It made me realize that I do actually have friends here, good friends. All in all it was a great Birthday and I'm really glad that I'm with Ingela and Andreas, and of course Hanna, love her too! They made it a really great day, it was like a half surprise party, people just started coming over :D
